Course Description
In this team project we want to develop a web based portal for researchers and students in the area of business informatics. The portal is supposed to collect and present information about the research community and work that is being done in the German-speaking part of Europe. It is meant as a quick way to find relevant literature, projects and experts on various topics of business informatics research.
In the course of the project we will specify the information needs of students and researchers, identify and integrate relevant sources of information and investigate the use of intelligent methods for collecting, aggregating, analyzing and presenting this information. Methods under consideration for this purpose are:
- Document Analysis and Indexing
- Clustering and Visualization
- Text Mining and Information Extraction
- Social Network Analysis
- Ontologies and semantic web technologies
The result of the project will be hosted by the AI research group and will be maintained and developed beyond the duration of the team project as an information source for the business informatics community in Germany.
