Currently, my main interests are in alternatives ways to perform Description Logic reasoning. I have also interest on many aspects related to ontologies and the Semantic Web: ontology modularization, biomedical ontologies as well as their applications.

I also do or did research on knowledge based text mining, cooperative information gathering, text classification, extraction, natural language processing, and their applications as well as multi-agent systems.
