Best Paper Award at RR 2009!

 

Anne Schlicht and Heiner Stuckenschmidt have won the Best Paper Award for the paper "Distributed Resolution for Expressive Ontology Networks " at the RR conference (co-located with ISWC, Washington DC).

The International Conference on Web Reasoning and Rule Systems (RR) aims to be the major forum for discussion and dissemination of new results concerning Web Reasoning and Rule Systems. As emphazised by the conference organizers, the paper tackles an important issue which becomes more an more relevant due to the availability of large, distributed knowledge resources and the need for scalable reasoning techniques.

The Award comes with a beautiful crystal trophy, which will  be presented in the Semantic Web Labor soon.
